Kindle for iPhone is nice, but Apple should have instead competed head-to-head with Amazon in the book sales market, transforming iTunes into the de facto marketplace for books, magazines and newspapers. Steve Jobs told the New York Times, "People don't read anymore." But they do read. And they read on iPhones. Too bad Apple won't profit.
